We have incorporated the VIC surface runoff and baseflow parameterizations into CLM, thereby improving the CLM hydrologic performance. The following two figures show the streamflow in Arkansas and Red River basin for three models: Enhanced CLM, CLM and VIC. It can be seen that the original CLM model largely overestimates runoff, while the enhanced CLM model performs similarly to the VIC model and has good agreements with the observation.
