Project Leader

Dennis Lettenmaier Professor, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering Dennis is the lead PI of the project and the overall supervisor and coordinator of the project team activities.

UW Technical Research Component

Qiuhong Tang, Research Associate, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Qiuhong is the project's lead researcher on Remote Sensing ET estimation and MODIS snow data assimilation activities, will be helping to implement hydrologic models for the target basins, and maintains the project's webpage. He is currently the contact point for questions on Remote Sensing ET estimation, snow data assimilation and nowcast implementation. Qiuhong's doctoral research focused on a Distributed Biosphere-Hydrological Model System for Continental Scale River Basins which is a useful tool to improve water resources management in large river basins with an advanced biosphere-hydrological model.

Andrew Wood, Research Asst. Professor, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Andy, a Co-Investigator of the project, developed the project's technical research activities and associated tasks. He is the creator of the westwide hydrologic forecast system on which the project is based, is a contact point for questions on climate and hydrology model forecasts, and is supervising the implementation of westwide system techniques for the project objectives.

UW User Interactions Research Component

	Anne C. Steinemann, Professor, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Anne, a Co-Investigator of the project, is the developer and supervisor of the user interactions component of the project, focusing on the communication of forecast products to users.
	Eric Rosenberg, Graduate Student, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Eric is focusing on the forecast communication and user interactions component of the project, and is a contact point for information about forecast products for the two target river basins.

UCI Collaborators

	Soroosh Sorooshian,Professor, Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of California Irvine. Sooroosh is the lead PI from UCI and manages the UCI project team.
	Bisher Imam,Professor, Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of California Irvine. Bisher, a Co-Investigator on the project, supervises project activities for UCI in the California region.
	Gi-Hyeon Park, Post Doctoral Associate, Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of California Irvine.

Other UW Collaborators

George Thomas, Research Staff, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. George, who also serves as the current VIC model administrator, helps run the westwide forecasting system from which some data for this project are obtained, and is helping with automation of forecast simulations for this project.
