Near Real-time Experiments

Introduction

This website presents snow data assimilation using a macroscale hydrologic simulation model at the University of Washington and NASA remote sensing snow data. The website leverages heavily from the University of Washingtons west-wide hydrologic forecast system. While the primary focus of this research is on water management, there are secondary benefits for the energy sector, particularly hydropower.

Our focus regions are the Feather River Basin and Upper Klamath River Basin. The Near Real-time Experiments are extended to the West-Wide U.S.A.
