Multimodel Surface Water Monitor
The plots below show the current percentiles for soil moisture, with respect to the climatological period 1915-2003, for the following models:
- VIC (Variable Infiltration Capacity)
- Noah (National Centers for Environmental Prediction/Oregon State University/Air Force/Hydrologic Research Lab)
- SAC (Sacramento/Snow-17)
- CLM (Community Land Model)
- Multimodel (average of the percentiles of VIC, Noah, SAC, and CLM)
Note: currently the percentiles are computed for current day with respect to climatological monthly average. This tends to accentuate the extreme lows and highs. We will be converting to a more consistent comparison soon.
