|Mu Xiao, Graduate Student,
Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering.|
Mu maintains the Surface Water Monitor on a daily basis.
|Vimal Mishra, Post Doctoral Research Associate, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. |
|Dennis Lettenmaier, Professor, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Dennis provided partial support for this effort in 2005 and 2006 as a subset of other research activities related to hydrologic forecasting. As of March 2008, Dennis took over leadership of the effort.
Assistance in system implementation also provided by:
Ali Akanda, Research Scientist/Graduate Student, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering (now at Tufts University)
Ali helped set up the ACIS station data download and real-time VIC simulations for the CONUS domain.
Ted implemented the NOAH, SAC and CLM land surface models in the real-time SW Monitor framework, thereby expanding the existing soil moisture nowcasts to a multi-model ensemble.
Ben Livneh, Graduate Student, Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Ben provided retrospective NOAH and SAC simulations for the CONUS domain.
Aihui Wang, now at Institue of Atmospheric Physics, Beijing, China
Aihui provided retrospective CLM simulations for the CONUS domain.
Andrew W. Wood, Hydrologist,NOAA NWS Colorado Basin River Forecast Center.
Andy created the UW Experimental SW Monitor in 2005, and further developed and maintained the system and associated collaborations until leaving UW in March 2008.
Website assistance was also provided by:
Dr. Kaiyuan Li, Research Scientist, Land Surface Hydrology Research Group.
Kathy Devlin, Temporary Research Staff, UW Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering
