WCSG Draft Science Plan Review Meeting

Meeting Site:

The meeting will be held at the Bolger Center, 9600 Newbridge Drive, Potomac, MD. Information on the Bolger Center is located on the web at http://www.bolgercenter.com.* There are ample parking areas on campus at no charge to overnight and day guests. Check-in time for overnight guests is 2:00pm and check-out time is noon. Those from out of town are strongly encouraged to stay on the Bolger Center campus. (The Water Cycle initiative is committed to having 50 rooms filled on Wednesday and Thursday evening).

Registration:

A registration fee of $70.00 will be collected when you sign in on the first day of the Water Cycle workshop. Registration fees can be paid with a personal or company check issued to UCAR or with a VISA or Master Card - cash will not be accepted. The registration desk will be open on Sunday, 26 March from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday through Friday, 27 - 31 March, at 7:00am outside Room 200 in the Main Building.

Rooms rates are $108 plus tax, which includes all amenities, and 3 meals per day (meal tickets will be provided when you check in)

Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations by calling the Bolger Center. Please identify yourself by indicating your affiliation with the "GCIP/Water Cycle Meeting" to receive this rate. A credit card will be required to guarantee your reservation. The reservation deadline is 20 March*. Note: check-in/check-out times are 2:00pm and 12:00 noon, respectively. Meal tickets begin with dinner on the day you check in and end with lunch on the day you check out. The Center expects overnight guests to check in the afternoon or evening prior to the meeting.

 

Day Guests:

If you plan to attend the meetings as a day guest, please notify Diane Lask (lask@ucar.edu) no later than 20 March and include the dates you will attend. Meal tickets for lunch will be provided as part of the registration package. Lunch tickets will be given to day guests when they register.

 

Shipping Instructions:

If you need to ship materials to the Bolger Center for distribution at the meetings, please contact Diane Lask (lask@ucar.edu) or for special instructions no later than 20 March.

The Water Cycle Workshop is an open meeting. Please feel free to pass this invitation along to your colleagues. If you are unable to make the workshop we are still interested in your comments and viewpoints. *A total of 50 rooms are available on a first come first served basis. So earlier registration is advisable if you require lodging.
